No results found.The 2012-2015 FAO Country Program Framework ( formerly (NMTPF) is prepared in response to a new National Agricultural Policy 2010-2014 and Five Year Strategic Management and Action Plan. The vision reflected in the policy and strategic plan is for the further development and strengthening of products and services to address existing gaps in respect of the sector’s contribution to rural prosperity, food and nutrition security, natural resource conservation and gender equity. This vision for 2agr iculture fits well with national strategic objectives to focus on measures to stimulate economic activity and protect jobs while ensuring actions for medium to long term growth, strengthen the environment for empowerment of households and poverty reduction, economic diversification and strengthened sectoral linkages, environmental sustainability and strengthened public private sector partnerships. -

No results found.Summary of the the Country Programming Framework (CPF), which sets out four priority areas to guide FAO partnership and support with the Government of Guyana - bringing together innovative international best practices and global standards with national and regional expertise during four years from 2012 to 2015. The CPF was prepared following extensive consultations with the Ministry of Agriculture, international development partners and with the various stakeholders within the agriculture secto r. The priority areas emerging from those consultations have been discussed and agreed with the Government of Guyana.
