The Philippines confronts complex agricultural challenges requiring integrated solutions that balance climate resilience, food security, and sustainable development across diverse agro-ecological zones. This report analyses outcomes from the "Climate actions and resilience for the agriculture sectors in the Philippines: National participatory foresight workshop," which established a shared vision of cultivated resilience in a food-secure and climate-ready nation. Through systematic climate foresight planning, stakeholders identified five primary drivers shaping agricultural transformation: persistent inequalities, advancing innovation and science, public investment patterns, natural resource scarcity and degradation, and climate variability. The collaborative process generated four strategic initiatives: nature-based solutions for climate-responsive communities that preserve indigenous knowledge systems, a comprehensive program targeting 1,000 climate-resilient municipalities across 100 critical watersheds, adoption of location-specific climate-resilient aquaculture technologies for vulnerable fisherfolk communities, and systemic transformation toward low-carbon agri-fisheries food systems, including carbon credit mechanisms tailored to Philippine contexts. These proposals emphasize inclusive value chain development, enhanced access to climate finance, and community-centred adaptation approaches. Part of the Agriculture Sector Readiness project for enhanced climate finance in Southeast Asia, this process demonstrates innovative approaches to designing transformative climate investments that address social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic development simultaneously across the Philippines.

Thailand's agricultural sectors face mounting pressure from climate change while striving to achieve carbon neutrality goals through sustainable transformation. This report documents outcomes from "Climate actions and resilience for the agriculture sectors in Thailand: National participatory foresight workshop," which brought together diverse stakeholders to develop strategic climate investment pathways. The collaborative process established a national vision for achieving carbon neutrality through sectoral collaboration, innovation, and technology integration for natural resource sustainability and human well-being. The workshop generated four initial project concepts addressing private sector climate finance, digital climate information services, agricultural carbon sequestration, and sustainable innovation hubs. These were subsequently consolidated into a comprehensive initiative titled "Climate-resilient agriculture innovation and financing hubs," targeting Thailand's six regions. This integrated approach combines innovative financial instruments with climate-smart agricultural technologies, creating regional centres for innovation, capacity building, and financial support. The project addresses critical barriers to sustainable agriculture adoption while promoting paradigm shifts toward low-emission, climate-resilient development. Part of the Agriculture Sector Readiness project for enhanced climate finance in Southeast Asia, this workshop report documents Thailand's commitment to transforming agricultural systems through coordinated climate action and technological innovation.

Cambodia's agricultural systems face escalating climate threats that endanger food security, rural livelihoods, and economic stability. This report presents strategic investment pathways developed during "Envisioning sustainable agricultural futures in Cambodia," a national workshop that applied innovative climate foresight methodology to transform climate challenges into actionable opportunities. The collaborative process produced four forward-looking initiatives addressing key vulnerabilities in Cambodia's agricultural landscape: smart rice technologies combining productivity improvements with emissions reduction, integrated climate-smart approaches for diversified farming systems, a comprehensive program developing location-specific agricultural technologies across six provinces, and coordinated interventions targeting greenhouse gas reduction in livestock and forestry sectors. Each proposal creates pathways for sustainable intensification, improved market access, and enhanced adaptive capacity while aligning with national climate commitments. The document illustrates how climate-smart agricultural investments can simultaneously address environmental sustainability, economic development, and social resilience objectives. Part of the Agriculture Sector Readiness project for enhanced climate finance in Southeast Asia, this workshop demonstrates effective approaches to designing transformative climate investments for Cambodia's agricultural sectors.
