    The Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Central Region (CRC) remains steadfast in its commitment to environmental sustainability and food security through proactive measures and enhanced regional collaboration. In 2024, the CRC expanded its efforts by implementing a range of regional and national projects, capacity-building initiatives, and research programmes aimed at strengthening the preparedness and response capabilities of its member countries. These activities, supported by key international partners, including the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), reflect the CRC’s strategic vision to equip member States with advanced technologies and best practices for desert locust monitoring, control, and environmental management.
